Junior C# Developer (16 months term, $14-21/hour, 40 hours per week, starting in May 2013)

Job Description: upport and development of WPF and web based .NET applications using WCF services. Interface with business analysts, project managers, IT Architects and other developers and will work under the supervision of a Development manager. The developer should understand requirements and development needs according to business requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Develop and provide support for a limited number of applications

·         Troubleshoot and debug code issues; identify and implement solutions

·         Work in a team to create detailed design specifications

·         Ensure tasks/projects are completed on time and within scope

·         Work with production team to ensure deployments roll out smoothly and customer group receives appropriate support

·         Follow up the coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines

·         Participate in code review sessions

·         Maintain current applications, including, but not limited to, bug fixes, feature enhancements and performance tuning

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Be enrolled in an Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics/Information Technology University program

·         Working knowledge of C# preferred

·         Working knowledge of Visual Studio preferred

·         Knowledge of WPF, WCF and SQL Server is nice to have but not a must

·         Knowledge of object oriented programming

·         Knowledge of common data structures and algorithms

·         Knowledge of design patterns and best practices is an asset

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Experience with diagnostics tools (Fiddler, IE Inspector, HTTP Analyzer) preferred

QA Analyst (4 months term, $14-21/hour, 40 hours per week, starting in May 2013)

Job Description The Quality Assurance Analyst’s role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for our company’s projects. This individual will also gather and analyze data in support of business case, new system, and systems requirements. This will include writing test cases, test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in the software application development. The QA Analyst will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for the new application, product, throughout the development/product lifecycles.

·         Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT systems and projects across the organization.

·         Liaise with vendors and suppliers in assessing applications and/or system that is being implemented.

·         Through the testing process ensure that the standards for the process are set and adhered to throughout the system.

·         Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications.

·         Verify and revise quality assurance standards as needed.

·         Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.

·         Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.

·         Make recommendations for improvement of applications to programmers, software developers or engineers.

·         Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.

·         Test any new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.

·         Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.

·         Participate in developing, distributing, and coordinating in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Be enrolled in an Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Science/Information Technology University program

·         Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.

·         Direct hands-on experience with software defect management tools.

·         Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.

·         Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.

·         Familiarity with databases and SQL queries for SQL Server (2005/2008/2012)

·         Excellent PC skills

·         Exposure to project-based work structures

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Marketing Assistant (4 months term, $12-15/hour + commission (based on cold calling success, 40 hours per week, starting in May 2013)

Job Description: Provide support to the company’s sales and marketing efforts and administrative support. Work under supervision of Business Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

·         Responsible for providing support to the company's sales and marketing efforts and administrative support;

·         Responsible for creating and coordinating promotional materials, brochures and flyers;

·         Writing/editing newsletters, updating company’s website;

·         Cold Calling potential clients

·         General office management duties;

·         Support customer initiative and communication;

Technical Writer (4 months term, $12-15/hour, 40 hours per week, starting in May 2013)


Job Description: The Technical Writer’s role is to research and understand Obero’s Inc. products, purpose and functionality and prepare documentation and instructional material that is concise and easy to understand, to provide assistance to other members of the consulting and developing teams as needed with written materials.


Key Responsibilities

·         Research and understand Obero’s Inc.'s products, purpose and functionality.

·         Prepare documentation and instructional material that is concise and easy to understand.

·         Provide assistance to other members of the support and consulting teams as needed with written materials.

·         Proofread, edit, and write a variety of materials while maintaining brand voice.

·         Create a style guide.

·         Make adjustments to existing materials as required.

·         Review all copies using checklist applicable style guide.

·         Perform administrative duties as assigned.
